3D Glasses Kerfuffle

Hello All;

I'm nearsighted & can't wear contacts.

I find wearing your typical 3D glasses over my standard prescription not only uncomfortable, but, most of the 3D effects are blurred.

Does anyone know of some sort of larger scale 3D goggle or something that I could get & bring with me to the movies?

Thank you;
~Z

Re: 3D Glasses Kerfuffle

I have a similar, yet different question...

Are the glasses you get at a theater for a 3-D movie the same glasses you use for a home theater 3-D television/Bluray?

Re: 3D Glasses Kerfuffle

TV 3D glasses are for specific brands (Sony. Samsung, Panasonic etc) and in some cases specific sets and cannot be interchanged.
They have a signal sent out to them to activate a shutter.

You can buy theater glasses so you don't have to used those supplied at the theater.

My wife and I are setting up a company which will make prescription 3D glasses, called optics 3D Ltd (Optics 3D) We are going to manufacture prescription RealD, Linear, anaglyph and possibly Dolby 3D glasses. We hope to be selling products by early November. In the mean time, perhaps you could fill in my short online survey -

My wife and I have started up a company which will later this year sale prescription 3D glasses. It is called Optics 3D Ltd. We will have two ranges - a lower cost single system glasses and a more upmarket product range which have interchangeable lenses which allows the user to use these glasses for RealD, Imax 3D, Dobly 3D and as sunglasses. We have a survey about this - Survey provided by FreeOnlineSurveys.com. Our website is Optics 3d Homepage
