I didn't laugh at all. I have nothing against any of the actors, they do a good imitation but it just isn't the same.

The actor playing Moe nailed his voice to a T.

Personally, I would have prefered a period piece in their own element.

I think Will Sasso was the PERFECT casting choice for Curly. I don't have high expectations for this film, but I'll see it anyways, because I love the stooges and looks like fun.

The real story behind them has been in development hell for years.

Mel Gibson and Keith Moon held the rights at one time if I'm not mistaken

I have that great biopic that was on tv a bunch of years ago on tape, trully a sad story.

I think the original Three Stooges would be proud! that was actually good!

Now if they can just keep the frantic pace all through the film and not get syrupy at the end I'd say they have a winner!!

my only wish is they would have set the movie in the 30 or 40's instead of today.

Looks like they all put a lot of effort into it... but no.

The REAL guys were on TCM the other day and it was still great.

Nothing about that trailer seemed funny to me. I can't imagine how unbearable the rest of the filler will be!

The one with Michael Chiklis as Curly? I was amazed at how well he did the role (I didn't realize he could be funny) :

Yep, that is the one. It really captures what I have read about the stooges. The studios did everything they could to keep them broke.

If I close my eyes, I can hear the real Larry, Moe, and Curly in their impressions and I'm super happy to hear that. Like Joe said, I wish it was a period piece. The stooges seem way out of place in 2011.

Nope, It's like putting 30's-40's humor into contemporary times with out the context whats happening in the world today. Try "Seinfeld with cellphones" it just doesn't work.
Especially the iPhone joke, maybe if they are coming out of some time machine. Then I'd believe they didn't know what an iPhone was, then I'd laugh.
Nice impersonations- but the characters would be a bit different for today.
I agree it should have been done as a period comedy.

You don't take the three Musketeers and put them out of context, same should be considered here.

Also another way could be the way they did the Brady Bunch movie where the Brady's were somehow still stuck in the 70's and just didn't get they were in present time.

The iPhone may be out of place, but the gag was true to the Stooges. I can totally see Curly doing that.
